In early 1993 we decided to make our sea change from the city of 4 seasons within a day Melbourne to Sunny Gold Coast. Only after intensive viewing countless houses that we finally found our dream home. --- 12, Bronte Court. The House. We immediately fell in love with 12, Bronte Court when we were introduced to it by the agent. The open plan concept gives us a lot of room to move around. The large lounge joining with the formal dinning and joining to the family and the kitchen. We have many family and business gathering held here with great comfort and enjoyment. The second thing that impressed us was the number of large glass doors and windows. They are so well designed and positioned that not only bring in the warm light and also provide the beautiful views of the pool, patio, garden, the front yard and the distant scenic view .... The Large Plot of Land. The 864m sq at the end of the court with a walk way by the side provides plenty of room for our grand children to play around the house. The Patio and the Pool. Entertaining your friends with a BBQ by the pool side is easy and fun way to go. On a quiet day, we like to indulge ourselves by relaxing at the patio and reading or looking out the distant view above the fence while listening to the variety of birds singing happily on the tree tops at different seasons. They often remind us the arrival of the new season. The Position & Location. Another reason for us to live here over 16 years is because of the peaceful environment and excellent easy access location. We enjoy the regular morning walk. On Sat. morning, we like to take our morning walk to the shopping village to pick up our papers from the news agent and join our friends at the local coffee shop for breakfast. After listening to our friends' news of the week, we have another healthy walk home. The Second Wife Margaret always complains that I spent too much time with my second wife. Yes, Margaret was not wrong too. You see, I enjoy reading. You can keep me quiet for a long time if you can provide some reading materials for me. There are three (3) libraries within 5 minutes drive from the house. We enjoy many hours in the libraries for they have many interesting books and very comfortable reading areas too. The Memory Lane and The West Lake The walk way by the side of the house not only provides the distant view of the surrounding area and bring in fresh and cool air, it is a very romantic lane too. Whenever we walk through the lane to the lake at the back, it reminds us of our younger days when we try to escape the crowd to go somewhere quiet near the park where we can have some privacy for ourself. We look forward to Sunday. Often we enjoy our breakfast in bed while listening to the morning news and music from radio through the inter-com system and appreciating the garden and distant view through the large glass windows. In the afternoon we prefer to indulge ourselves in the spa with a glass of wine or beer while enjoying the tranquil view of the pool and garden. The Third Wife As you can guess I spent a lot of my time in my study as well. As the study is in the front part of the house, it has a good view of the front garden and the rest of the peaceful court. The Margaret Bakery Margaret prefers baking to cooking. The larger than normal kitchen provides good opportunity for Margaret to indulge herself in baking and while enjoying the view of the garden ,pool, patio through the large glass doors and windows which position around the kitchen and family area perfectly. Teens Wonderland The second & third room are on the left side of the house. There have separate access from outside of the house. It creates the excellent opportunity for the younger members of the family to bring in their boy/girl friends without interrupting the peaceful life of the seniors. You bet that our younger members of the family have had a lot of fond memories in their wonderland. We begin to miss our wonderland already. Hope you will spend a wonderful time here too.
