Wallaby Rise Caravan Park and Bush Restaurant is well renowned throughout Australia for it's authentic Australian camp oven cooking, having a bush restaurant capable of seating 200 people and accommodation capability of 50 caravan sites and bungalow accommodation with 28 beds. The residence is an 'A' frame concrete block home with 3 bedrooms (1 downstairs and two upstairs), with a study, kitchen, lounge room and bathroom. The restaurant has a bain-maree and large serving area, kitchen with coolroom and all the stainless steel benches and commercial gas stove capable of cooking meals for 200. Feature's include the gas fired kiln that cooks the meat in the camp ovens, the 'Wallabar' that accommodates many a thirsty drinker, the dance floor and huge open fire. The caravan park has an ablutions block has 3 showers and 2 toilets in the Men's, whilst the Womens has 4 toilets and 3 showers and there is a baby room with bath and basin. The park enjoys a rustic bush setting much in tune with nature. There is a community BBQ area and lake Glenmaggie is only 200 metres down the road for water sports. Whilst the current owners make a comfortable living, there is huge potential to increase the caravan sites from 16 sites to 50. Currently there are 16 permanent sites paying $950 per year, they cater for weddings, Christmas functions, bus tours and get-togethers of any occasion.
