When considering investment possibilities and the 'consequences' of any particular business operation in relation to our global, social and ecological environments - surely the opportunities provided by an investment in Homeopathy to 'nurture through nature' would seem irresistible to some. The Auckland College of Classical Homeopathy (ACCH) has since 2004 undergone a period of substantial growth which has undoubtedly secured its position at the forefront of Homeopathic Education in New Zealand, as well as strategically positioning it to be an Australasian leader in natural health and wellness education. This period of growth has resulted in: * Full accreditation with the N.Z. Qualifications Authority (NZQA) - Registration with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) - A successful relationship with New Zealand Immigration Department - A working relationship with Work and Income NZ (WINZ) - Government funding of $209,000-00 per annum, and further entitlements to apply for additional funding on an annual basis. - Study loans and allowances approved - E-learning and Distance Education package - 3 year audit cycle The ACCH is committed to continue this growth strategy during the next 18 months, and to this end, strategic and/or investment partners are being sought. Investors are invited to purchase a substantial shareholding in the Company (this may be negotiated up to a level of 80%), the terms and conditions of such investment will be negotiated in the strictest confidence; such negotiations will be exclusively managed by Erika Bult, Accredited Business Broker, Century 21 Countrywide Ltd MREINZ. Background to the College As background, the ACCH was formed in 1984 by homeopaths, to answer the need for training in the domestic market, and was the first such college in NZ, and remained so until 1991. Up until the mid 1990's the ACCH had little to do with compliance to NZ educational systems - registration with NZQA etc. It was deemed by the previous management that training homeopaths had little to do with bureaucracy; consequently a major amount of college resource has been devoted in the past two years to developing alignment with: - NZQA (NZ Qualifications Authority): Once again, the College achieved a flawless audit report in June 2007, which resulted in a three-year audit cycle. That is the optimal audit cycle granted by the NZQA and is evidence of organizational stability and highly effective teaching and learning methods. - TEC (Tertiary Education Commission): Achieved registration with TEC for Student Loans and Allowances in August 2005, which has enabled the college to enlarge its domestic market by approx 300% since that time. Similar growth in the domestic market is predicted for 2007 and 2008. Such registration is also a pre-requisite for being funded by TEC, and our funding application was approved in November 2006. The ACCH was one of only 8 of 43 PTE applicants to gain funding in this funding round, and significantly, as part of the changes to the structure of education in New Zealand as initiated by Dr Michael Cullen during 2006, the policy of funding of PTE's all Education providers has tightened significantly, making it much more difficult for a new applicant to gain funding from this point on. Conversely, those providers who are funded will continue to be supported by the NZ Govt (providing all TEC criteria in relation to funding continue to be met). - NZIS (NZ Immigration Service): The College has been accepting international students since 2002, and sees the international student market as being a continuing source of revenue. Challenges have been faced over international student management issues since the very first intake, and prior to 2005 student management rested in the hands of a student recruitment agent responsible for recruitment of most international students: this situation, however, was deemed unfeasible and cancelled mid 2005. Since that time a large body of policy has been created relating to student management; tutors are given extra training, and admin staff also work closely with international students to ensure compliance with ACCH policy. Additionally, our Pastoral Care Officer is an experienced counselor, who works closely with management to ensure student issues are resolved quickly. - WINZ (Work and Income NZ): Many ACCH students over the years have studied with the college while on benefits through WINZ, and as such WINZ offices carry ACCH course and marketing information across NZ. The relationship between the ACCH and WINZ has developed significantly during 2005/2006, and we are now a preferred provider of education through Work and Income via the training incentive allowance scheme. In February 2006 the ACCH moved into the premises it now occupies, where it now enjoys several advantages: - Upgraded teaching and student resources - Proximity to other educational establishments - Proximity to CBD - Office premises and classrooms in the same location - integrated campus - Ability to host International Seminars for a large audience - Lease in place until Feb 2009, with 2 year right of renewal
